Tension as Lagos records highest Covid-19 cases in a day

Lagos State, on Saturday, recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections in a day.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday night announced that the state had 1,040 positive cases of the ravaging virus in a day.
The new cases were confirmed in a tweet via its official Twitter account on Saturday night.
NCDC tweeted: “1,883 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-1040, FCT-298. Anambra-86, Rivers-54, Taraba-45, Ogun-42, Oyo-40, Akwa Ibom-38, Sokoto-30, Ebonyi-30, Imo-28, Kaduna-28, Osun-27, Kano-21, Benue-19, Edo-17, Gombe-15. Ekiti-9, Delta-8, Jigawa-3, Kwara-2, Bayelsa-2, Plateau-1.
“130,557 confirmed cases, 103,712 discharged and 1578.”
The new cases bring the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 48,919.
