Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has accused the Federal Government of making frantic efforts to prevent him from contesting the 2027 presidential election.

Obi made the allegation during a 60-minute interview on Magic FM Aba.

The former Anambra State governor described himself as the most qualified among all current presidential aspirants in the country, claiming that the Federal Government’s major priority is to ensure he does not participate in the 2027 race.

“The present government is bent on making sure I am not a candidate for any party,” he said.

He also criticized the Electoral Law signed by President Bola Tinubu, describing it as shameful for excluding forgery as a crime.

“It is very shameful for Nigeria that the new Electoral Laws assented to by the President excluded forgery as a crime,” Obi said.
