 Ogun Community left in darkness after failed transformer project by Federal representative

Remo Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga is currently enmeshed in a contract scam.

According to information, Hon. Adewunmi is said to have mobilised for three transformers for the three local governments she represent at the lower chamber.

We however gathered that, as at October 2022, nearly four years into her reign as the lawmaker representing Sagamu, Ikenne and Remo North federal constituency, the rural electrification projects which the lawmaker now flaunt as achievements going into the 2023 election.

The most prominent of the transformer failed project is the 300KVA transformer which is currently languishing at Idokosi community on Ilisan-Isara road.

According to sources within the community, the lawmaker claimed to approve a 500KVA transformer for the area but, what is currently on sight is a 300KVA which has not worked for one day since it was brought to the community.

We also gathered that, the entire community has been in total darkness since February 2022.

Our source also said when the community reached out to Hon. Adewunmi, she claimed the said project was part of her 2019 projects which has been fully paid for.

Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga is currently seeking a re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the coming 2023 general election.
