No one above the law under my administration, says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu claims that no one, no matter how high up in society, is above the law in his administration.
Tinubu claimed that his government cannot be accused of shielding any individual or group from legal repercussions because of political membership.
The President made this statement on Monday when opening the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and National Judicial Institute (NJI) Workshop for Justices and Judges in Abuja.
According to him, Nigeria could be rid of corruption if everyone committed to doing the right thing in their individual domains of influence.
The Nigerian leader tasked the judiciary to remain steadfast, impartial, and incorruptible in dispensing justice.
He warned that the breakdown of any society began when those entrusted with interpreting its laws became compromised.
“The Federal Government under my watch will make sure that no one is above the law. We draw our moral distinction as a people from the judiciary, and we owe it the reverence and autonomy to remain the last sanctuary of our collective conscience.
“There is also a certain level of consternation over decisions of courts in serious corruption matters that engender feelings that society is being left with the wrong end of the stick,” he said.
