JAMB releases 2026 mock UTME results, Delists 20 CBT centres
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The mock examination was conducted last Saturday in 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide to familiarise candidates with the CBT format and prepare them for the main UTME scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026.
JAMB said 224,597 candidates registered for the mock exercise, out of which 152,586 sat for the test.
The board reiterated that scores from the mock UTME will not be added to candidates’ results in the main examination.
JAMB spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Tuesday, advised candidates to check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration.
He also warned candidates against fraudsters, particularly on WhatsApp, who claim to manipulate or upgrade scores, describing such claims as false and criminal.
“Any candidate found to have engaged in such activities will have their registration cancelled. Where such infractions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn,” he said.
Meanwhile, the board disclosed that more than 20 CBT centres that encountered technical issues during the mock examination have been delisted due to inadequate performance.
