2027: APC panicking as Tinubu pushes for coronation instead of election – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, a former senator from Kogi West, claimed on Thursday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in a state of panic over defections to the African Democratic Congress.

Melaye made the assertion during Channels Television’s Morning Briefing.

He stated that the APC is terrified because the ADC is the only viable opposition that can challenge the governing party in 2027.

“The APC has become so desperate, seeing that the ADC is the only opposition in Nigeria to challenge them in 2027

“They have seen exodus of movement from various political parties into the ADC.

“Me personally I’m shocked as to why they are panicking, they have 32 governors and have taken over, so why are you afraid?”

Melaye, who is a member of the ADC, added that President Bola Tinubu wants to be coronated and doesn’t want an election.

“In a nutshell, it’s not about ADC, it’s about democracy. President Bola Tinubu wants to be coronated; he doesn’t want an election.

“He wants us to practise a monarchical system of government,” he added.
