Victor Moses, Chelsea delegation pay courtesy visit to Oba Elegushi in Lagos
Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses on Sunday joined a delegation from Chelsea F.C. on a courtesy visit to Oba Saheed Elegushi at his palace in Lagos.
The visit formed part of activities organised around Chelsea’s fan engagement programme in Nigeria, aimed at strengthening ties with supporters in the country.
During the visit, the delegation was received by the Lagos monarch at the Elegushi Palace, where discussions centred on sports, youth development and the growing influence of football in Nigeria.
Moses, a former Super Eagles star and Premier League winner with Chelsea, expressed excitement over returning to Nigeria with representatives of his former club.
The ex-winger said he was pleased to reconnect with fans and participate in activities designed to celebrate the club’s large following in the country.
Chelsea’s Lagos visit is part of the club’s “The Famous CFC” initiative, which includes fan interactions, watch parties and community engagement events.
Oba Elegushi, who has often supported sports and youth-focused programmes in Lagos, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the role of football in inspiring young Nigerians.
