Focus on Nigeria’s challenges, not political rivals

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged President Bola Tinubu to concentrate on addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges instead of engaging in political battles with his opponents.

Atiku said the country is grappling with economic hardship, insecurity and other governance issues that require the government’s full attention.

He argued that Nigerians expect the administration to prioritise policies that improve living conditions and strengthen the economy rather than focusing on political disagreements.

The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate maintained that effective governance should take precedence over political rhetoric, especially as the country faces numerous socio-economic challenges.

His remarks come amid an exchange of comments between the President and opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
