Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, vice-presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has described the 2027 general election as a battle between Nigerians and those he referred to as “oppressors.”

Kwankwaso made the statement while speaking on the political situation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The former Kano State governor said the election would provide Nigerians with an opportunity to determine the direction of the country through their votes.

He urged citizens to pay attention to issues affecting their lives and the future of the country as political activities intensify ahead of the poll.

Kwankwaso also criticised successive administrations over what he described as their failure to adequately address the challenges facing Nigerians.

He said the 2027 election would give voters an opportunity to make their choices based on the political and economic situation in the country.

The former governor’s comments come amid increasing political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general election.
