Mo Bimpe: I was excluded from baby events because I had no child
Nollywood actress, Mo Bimpe, has revealed that she was deliberately excluded from some baby showers, naming ceremonies and children-related events because she did not have a child at the time.
The actress disclosed this while speaking about her personal experiences and the challenges she faced before becoming a mother.
According to her, some people stopped inviting her to events involving babies because they assumed she would feel uncomfortable attending without having a child of her own.
Mo Bimpe said the experience was painful and made her realise how much pressure women can face over motherhood.
She explained that being left out of social gatherings because of her childlessness affected her emotionally, particularly when such decisions were made without considering how she felt.
The actress has since become a mother, but said her experience before motherhood gave her a different perspective on the way society treats women who are yet to have children.
She urged people to be more considerate in their interactions with women and avoid making assumptions about their personal circumstances.
