EPL: Arsenal beat Sunderland 2-0 to go top

Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table after defeating Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday.

The Gunners secured their fourth consecutive league victory following goals from Bruno Guimaraes and Bukayo Saka.

Sunderland had an opportunity to take the lead early in the second half after being awarded a penalty.

However, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya saved Enzo Le Fée’s spot-kick to keep the visitors in the game.

Arsenal took advantage shortly afterwards when Guimaraes found the net with a stunning strike from outside the box.

Saka then sealed the victory with a late penalty after Arsenal were awarded a spot-kick in stoppage time.

The result leaves Arsenal with four wins from four matches and 12 points at the top of the table.

Sunderland, who had impressed in their opening fixtures, suffered their second defeat of the season.
