Lagos seals 12 establishments over environmental violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across parts of the state over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.

The agency said the enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.

According to LASEPA, the affected establishments had received warnings and abatement notices but failed to comply with its directives.

Among those sealed were Thrillz Lounge in Ogba, Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando and the Aduragbemi Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ in Ikotun.

LASEPA said Thrillz Lounge and Marvel Hotel & Suites were sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with environmental directives.

The agency said the church was also sealed for alleged noise pollution and failure to comply with its directives.

Other establishments affected by the enforcement included Feixiang Plastic, Keviz Hotel & Suites, DSN Hotel & Suites, Rudaj Vegetable Oil, Limas, Nico Hotel & Suites, 10Kobo Night Club, Master Furniture and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge.

LASEPA said the establishments were found to have breached various environmental regulations, including noise pollution and non-compliance with prescribed corrective measures.

The agency said some of the establishments were also sealed for obstruction of its officials during enforcement activities.

LASEPA said the affected businesses and organisations would be required to meet the relevant regulatory requirements before their premises could be reopened.
