2027: Ayodele Predicts Tinubu May Struggle in FCT, Says Nigeria’s Name Will Change
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu could struggle to win the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the 2027 presidential election.
Ayodele claimed that Tinubu might only secure victory in Abuja through electoral manipulation, alleging that support for the President was declining in parts of northern Nigeria.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric said voters in several northern states were becoming increasingly opposed to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He listed Adamawa, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Sokoto and Bauchi as states where he believed the party could face challenges, while describing the political situation in Yobe, Gombe and Kebbi as divided.
Ayodele also dismissed the view that appointing former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari as director-general of Tinubu’s campaign would automatically improve the President’s chances in the North.
The cleric further claimed that Nigeria’s name would eventually be changed, arguing that the country needed a fundamental transformation.
His comments come as political parties and their leaders begin preparations for the 2027 general election.
The predictions represent Ayodele’s personal views and have not been independently established.
