Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has joked with his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, during an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally, describing him as a “small boy”.

The remark was captured in a video circulating on social media, showing the two politicians exchanging pleasantries at the event.

The interaction comes amid renewed political tension between the two former allies over the APC ticket for Imo West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A Federal High Court in Abuja had, on October 29, recognised Okorocha as the party’s candidate for the senatorial district, directing the Independent National Electoral Commission to replace Uzodimma’s name with his.

Uzodimma’s camp has rejected the judgment and indicated plans to challenge it on appeal.
