On behalf of LASG, the leadership of the South-South United People’s Forum in Lagos State in collaboration with Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Lagos State (Mr. Sam Egube) presented palliative food items to South-South members in Mainland LGA in the presence of the Executuve Chairman Mainland LGA, Hon. Mrs. Essien (Conference 57 Chair) who is also a South-South indigene by marriage.

While presenting the food items, the acting Chairman of Lagos State South-South United People’s Forum, Otunba Napoleon, said the palliatives were facilitated by the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Egube.

He said the commissioner has been an instrument for the South-South people in Lagos state in getting dividends of democracy for them from the government, appealing to his members to always pray for the commissioner to deliver his assignment well.

Also speaking, one of the leaders of the Forum, High Chief Lucky informed members that the commissioner was pleased to identify with them at this challenging period and that he has promised to keep the flag of south-south high in the government of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Receiving the food items on behalf of the South-South members in Mainland LGA, the council Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Essien, appreciated governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Commissioner for Agriculture and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning for remembering the people of region at this critical time.

She assured the leaders of South-South of her commitment and support to their vision and mission.

The acting Secretary of the Forum, Hon. Dr. Paul Fregene who doubles as the Secretary to the Local Government, Ejigbo LCDA, appreciated the warm reception given to the team by the chairman of Mainland local government, saying her presence spoke volumes and made the presentation remarkable.
