“Bride Price Is Demonic…” – Nollywood Actor, Uche Maduagwu

Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has voiced out about marriage and bride price in his recent post.

The Actor in an Instagram post, pointed out that ‘paying’ for a bride is a demonic act as he is against it,

he was of the view that if the killing of twins can be abolished in Nigeria, so should the payments of bride price.

Here’s what he wrote;

“Bride Price is DEMONIC and our parents are Slave masters for allowing their daughters to be sold into marriage.

If killing of Twins can be aborted in Nigeria, why cant we do same for bride price on our women?.

I wept bitterly when a newly married #Doctor friend of mine called me yesterday night, 📞weeping profusely on #phone while narrating the shock of her life,

According to her, she heard her #husband boasting to his #friends while drinking together that he has paid his wife bride price,

and he is legally and officially her master, and can do anything with her since she has been bought with a heavy price that even if he sleeps around,

she has no choice than to forgive and shut up.

“Can you imagine such nonsense? 🙄A lot of men will not say this openly but psychologically, its there and it shows in their actions.”
