Angela Okorie arrested in Lagos, remanded in Abuja prison for ‘defamation’
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has been remanded to the Suleja correctional centre following her arraignment over alleged cyber-related crimes.
Okorie was arrested in Lagos on Tuesday by operatives from the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Abimbola Adebisi, the Lagos police spokesperson, confirmed to TheCable Lifestyle on Wednesday that Okorie was taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja.
Filmmaker Ajemba Stanley also disclosed that Okorie was charged to court on Wednesday and remanded.
