Breaking: Oyo Governor, Seyi Makinde, loses Mum

Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has lost his mother, Madam Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde.

There is no official statement from the governor or his family yet, Mrs. Makinde, who celebrated 80th early this year, was said to have died in the early hours of Thursday.

During the 80th birthday, Seyi had described his late mother as a disciplinarian, straightforward and blunt woman, who says things the way they are. Makinde noted that he took a little bit of his mother’s virtues.

It will be recalled that, former Governor and Seyi Makinde’s Predecessor, Late Ajimobi also lost his Mum, Madam Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi on July 19, 2012, less than two years after assuming office as Governor.
