Chelsea put brakes on Odoi’s transfer to Bayern

Chelsea have refused to accept a deal from Bayern Munich that would see Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer to the Bundesliga side.
According to reports, the Champions League winners had tended a proposal to acquire Odoi on loan with an option to buy for around £70m next season.
Odoi has been a long-term target for the Bavarian giants. In last year’s January window, Bayern Munich offered £30m for the England national. Another bid worth £22.5m was rejected in the 2019 summer transfer window.
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard said “Callum is absolutely part of our plans here” when questioned on the player’s purported move to Bayern.
He, however, added that the player’s future would likely be resolved on transfer deadline day (October 5).
“There is no definitive answer, we will know by Monday whether there is. Callum is our player, what Callum wants comes into consideration, it has to work for us,” he said.
