Court sends Ibom Air passenger to Kirikiri prisons over in-flight unruly behaviour

Lagos court on Monday reminded Comfort Emmanson, the passenger who allegedly assaulted air hostess aboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos on Sunday.
This was revealed in an X post by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace development’s Special Adviser, Tunde Moshood, on Monday.
“The more reason the flying public should be more careful, the unruly passenger on Uyo-Lagos bound Ibom Air, Miss Comfort Emmanson has been charged to court and she’s now cooling off in Kirikiri.” He wrote.
Lagosstreetjournal.ng earlier reports that the incident occurred on the airline’s Uyo-Lagos flight on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

The passenger was caught in a trending video slapping airline officials and forcibly dragged out by security personnel.
Video of the female passenger being dragged out with parts of her body exposed has also caused outrage with many condemning the airline officials.
The management of Ibom Airlines limited has imposed a travel restriction on her, after noting that she posed threat to flight safety.
Ms Emmason’s case is coming less than a week after a similar unruly behaviour was exhibited at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde popularly called Kwam 1.
The singer was alleged to have poured the content of his flask on a female pilot Oluranti Ogoyi after he was prevented from entering the airplane with a liquid content according to aviation rules.
The singer has since apologised for his unruly behaviour.
While many have said that Ayinde should face the full wrath of the law, some others have said he should be pardoned.
