Emir of Daura’s first wife is dead


Hajiya Binta Umar, the first wife of the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar is dead.
The 70-year-old died on Friday in Daura after a protracted illness.
Malam Usman Ibrahim, the Sarkin Labaran Daura (Chief Information Officer) of the Emirate Council, who confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday said that Hajiya Binta died at about 8 am on Friday at the Emir’s palace and has been buried according to Islamic rites.
He said that the deceased was survived by her husband, six children and many grandchildren, as well as her adopted children.
