Gunmen kill two FRSC corps, kidnap ten others

An attack by gunmen on a convoy bearing officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Wudage junction, Toto Local Government Area, of Nasarawa State, has left two dead and four others injured.
The gunmen also kidnapped 10 of the officials in the brazen attack which took place as the officials were travelling from the North to the Southeast.
As at the time of writing, both injured and dead officials have been transferred to the Federal Medical Center, Keffi, Nasarawa.
Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Bisi Kazeem, corroborated the event, adding that the first officer had died in the course of the attack while the other had died from his injuries at the hospital.
He also said efforts were already underway to rescue the kidnapped FRSC officials.
The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, has ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
He urged staff to remain unperturbed, as the Corps would do everything to rescue the abducted men, adding that the agency would collaborate with other security agencies to make sure the perpetrators are found and prosecuted.
