I’m looking for a God-Fearing husband – Tems reveals

Temilade Openiyi, often known as Tems, a Nigerian musician, has spoken up about her thoughts on marriage, stating that she feels it should be founded on a desire for growth rather than simple sentiments.

In a recent interview with media personality Angie Martinez, the multiple Grammy winner stated that she feels marriage may be difficult at times and that individuals should approach it with the understanding that it would not always be roses.

Tems noted that while marriage is unknown, she wants a God-fearing spouse because she believes such a person will be accountable.

“My partner has to be a God-fearing man. Because why would you truly love me if you don’t have anyone that you answer to? If you’re not accountable to anyone, how could you choose to love and keep loving me for the rest of our lives?

“If you’re the god of your life, why would you love me forever? You could just discard me anytime you want. But marriage is something that makes you better as a human being. It should. It shouldn’t be about only love; it’s about compatibility.

“It’s about whether a relationship makes you a better person, like it evolves you. Because marriage is a whole another level, it’s supposed to bring out the hard times,” she stated.
