JUST IN: Supreme court rules in favour of rivers in oil well

The Supreme Court on Friday in Abuja has ruled in favour of Rivers State in the tussle with Imo State for the ownership of 17 oil wells.
The court dismissed the counterclaim put forward by the Imo State Government through a judgment prepared by Justice Heleen Ogunwumiju but delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim.
The oil wells are located in the territory of Rivers and Imo states.
At the time of this report, detailed judgment was yet to be made available to parties in the dispute.
