The body of a National Diploma certificate holder, Lekan Odunare, who jumped into a lagoon in the Epe area of Lagos State on Tuesday morning in an attempt to commit suicide has been found.
Lekan was seen in a viral video sitting on the rails of a bridge before jumping into the waters.
A man filming the scene was heard querying his intention but Lekan, who looked distressed, did not answer any of the questions before jumping into the lagoon.
The deceased’s brother, Usman, said he never opened up about anything bothering him adding that his monger would get over it as time goes on.
A grieving family member of the victim confirmed the death of Lekan in an interview, stating that his body was found on Thursday.
Lekan, who is said to be a worker at Alaro City, a mega estate located along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, reportedly left behind a one-year-old child for his 19-year-old girlfriend.
