Lagos govt rescues woman who tried to report sun at police station
The Lagos State Government said that it had rescued a mentally disturbed lady who had attempted to register a complaint against the sun at the Panti Police Station.
On Tuesday, the government issued a statement on its official X Twitter stating that the Ministry of Youth and Social Development’s rescue squad responded to a distress complaint regarding the woman, who was well-dressed but behaved oddly.
The statement read, “According to information gathered, the woman, who was described as well-dressed, had taken an Uber ride from Lekki to the Panti Police Station, where she reportedly attempted to file a complaint against the sun.
“She was subsequently rescued and taken to one of the Lagos State–owned rehabilitation centres, where she is currently receiving the necessary medical and psychological care to aid her recovery.”
Photos shared in the announcement show the woman, whose face has been blurred for privacy, standing calmly beside a ministry vehicle and next to her luggage under a tree.
She appears composed, dressed in a dark jacket, a short skirt, knee-high socks, and carrying bags.
