 Peter Obi holds another meeting with Obasanjo

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has held another meeting with former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Obi disclosed this himself on Monday via a tweet from the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

The two leaders met at the Abeokuta, Ogun State residence of the former Nigerian leader.

Revealing details of their discussion, Obi narrated in his tweet that they focused on matters of national importance.

“I deeply appreciate the opportunity to hold an extensive discussions with President Olusegun Obasanjo earlier today on arising national interest matters.

As usual, the exchanges were forthright and animated. -PO,” he tweeted.

This is not the first meeting between Obi and Obasanjo. It will be recalled that back In July, the LP candidate alongside his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, Julius Abure, and the Senior Pastor, Trinity House Church, Ituah Ighodalo, visited Obasanjo.

Also, in August, Obasanjo met with Peter Obi, and the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The meeting which was held in London had in attendance some governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
