Nigerian officials not included as CAF releases full officiating team for AFCON 2025
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the complete list of referees and video assistant referees for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
No Nigerian was included in the list by CAF.
CAF included 28 centre referees and 14 VAR officials.
Host nation Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and Mauritania provided two centre referees.
Algeria’s Lahlou Benbraham, Egypt’s Mahmoud Ashour, Tunisia’s Haythem Guirat, Morocco’s Hamza El Fariq, and Senegal’s Djibril Camara are among the VAR officials who will go to Morocco.
The tournament will run from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
Morocco’s first game will be against the Comoros on Sunday, December 21 in Rabat.
