Oluwo Stool: Adewale Akanbi defeats contenders in Appeal Court, mocks losers

Favour Rotimi

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has again defeated his contenders for the Oluwo stool at the Court of Appeal.

This was contained in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to The King, Alli Ibraheem, on Friday while announcing his victory at the Court of Appeal.

The monarch mocks his contenders by describing them as perpetual failure. He advised them to go to the Supreme Court.

Oba Adewale Akanbi expressed his gratitude to God (Olodumare) for the triumph, which he described as a divine endorsement of his reign.

He also attributed his success to the favour of God and the dedication of his legal team. He emphasized that his enthronement was divinely ordained and could not be thwarted by human efforts.

Oba Akanbi highlighted some of his achievements since he ascends the throne, which includes promoting the progress of Iwoland, defending its heritage, traditions, and culture.

He noted that his administration has facilitated federal presence in the town, and he has done significant work to clean up the Yoruba tradition and culture, making it an envy of the world.

The statement partly reads, “My contenders are perpetual failures. They are made to waste their resources in pursuing shadow.I can’t help them because they are purposeful for my promotion. They should continue their litigation while I continue to reign (Awon nse ejo, emi nse ijoba). Please, go to the Supreme Court. You won’t be alright should you resign to faith at this eleventh hour. You are my son, but I can’t help your ministry since you have resigned to be lost.”

“I specifically appreciate Olodumare for the rare privilege to always match my enemies. I love battles. When the enemy brings one, I welcome it because Olodumare has always used every battle as a promotional step to my greatness.”

“My legal team is acknowledged for their sacrifice and commitment to safeguard a pure throne. You shall continue to rise from top to top and apex to apex. My Ekarun, you are equally commended.”

“To the true blue blood, reasonable sons and daughter of Iwo who trust my progressive monarchical movement, I appreciate you all. I am optimistic you are feeling the impact. Iwo has grown beyond yesterday. We are greater. We shall be the greatest soon.”

“To the Nigeria Judiciary, I acknowledge you for upholding the truth. Continue to be our pride.”

This is one of the many wins of Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi since the legal fireworks and controversies surrounding his reign.

Oba Akanbi has paddled through defamation of character, fierce tussle with traditionalists and prominent high chief in Iwo, among others, which resulted in an attempt on his life.

In spite of that, the Arole Olodumare is undetered. He is currently preparing for his 10-year coronation anniversary in November this year.
