Protest in Ikorodu as Trailer Crushes Four to death

Residents of Ikorodu in Lagos State on Friday morning trooped out in their large numbers to protest incessant road accidents, caused by heavy-duty vehicles in the town.
It was gathered that a truck yesterday crushed four people to death at Winners Chapel, beside the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH).
According to an eyewitness, the failed portion of the Ikorodu road has resulted in many accidents, in the past few weeks.
He said: “This portion of the road has become a slaughter ground. It has led to the death of many residents and commuters. Only yesterday, four people were crushed to death by a tanker. Approximately, ten trailer accidents happen here every week.”
