Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96

Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch is dead.
She died in Scotland on Thursday at 96 years after reigning for over 70 years.
“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
Elizabeth’s eldest son Charles, 73, automatically becomes King of the United Kingdom while his wife Camilla becomes Queen Consort.
