Three Teenage Boys Arrested After Raping, Drowning Girl In Katsina

Three teenage boys have been arrested by police officers in Katsina for allegedly raping and drowning a 13-year old girl in a pond.
Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the arrest while addressing newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.
Isah said the trio, aged 15-16, had hatched and executed plan to gang-rape a 13-year old girl Dutsen-Dadi, Danmusa Local Government Area, on their farmland on Aug. 14, 2020.
Thereafter, the boys, after raping the girl, went ahead to dump her body in a nearby pond, drowning her in the process.
The spokesman said the girl’s body had been found later and transferred to the Danmusa Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
He indicated that the boys had confessed to the crime after being interrogated by police officers.
