 2023: Lagos lawmaker, Idimogu mobilises grassroots supports for Tinubu, Obasa

As part of efforts to rally support for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his presidential ambition in 2023, the Member of the Lagos House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, Hon. Jude Idimogu, has launched a group tagged “Abundance United Movement”.

During a mobilisation exercise by the group in Ejigbo on Sunday, Idimigu said he formed the Movement to create awareness about the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the senatorial ambition of the incumbent Speaker of Lagos State, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

He added that the Movement would be used to rally support for Tinubu and Obasa in Oshodi-Isolo constituency II comprising both Isolo and Ejigbo LCDAs.

While canvassing for more support for both Asiwaju and Obasa in 2033, the lawmaker charged each member of the party to work as ambassador in their various communities.

He said: “To us, Asiwaju 2023 is non negotiable so I’m urging you all to become ambassadors of APC in your community.

“We expect that our party will get the highest vote counts at the local, state and federal elections respectively throughout Nigeria but we can only achieve that only if we all come together with one voice.”

Also speaking, the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos branch, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) said Asiwaju deserves to be the next President on Nigeria based on his antecedents as the former Governor of Lagos State.

Ardnf to Akinsanya, apart from being a charismatic leader, he has the capacity to unite people from different ethnic backgrounds as evident in his administration as the for a former governor.

“To me, Asiwaju is a renowned political leader who has capacity to unify all ethnic entities in Nigeria. I am sure of victory for him in 2023 as our next president. I know the general public would vote for him because everybody knows that he is the right man for the job.”

Meanwhile, Akinsanya commended Idimogu for forming the group and organising rally to mobilise support for Asiwaju.

He also commended the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) for his efforts especially in the area of infrastructure development in the council area.

The Chairman Isolo LCDA, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye (Shammeh), also commended Hon. Jude Idimogu for unifying different ethnic groups with diverse cultural beliefs towards the development of the party in the constituency.

He notified that such step is an exemplary one which everyone should imitate in their respective societies.

The Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello, who hosted the group, appreciated the coordinators of the Movement for choosing the council area as their meeting point, while appreciating the guests for identifying with the LCDA as a working one as he promised that his administration will continue to work in line with the community’s demands.
