2027: ADC warns APC against taking opposition for granted
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against taking the opposition for granted ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, expressed confidence that the ADC would defeat the ruling party if the election was free and fair.
Abdullahi said the ADC was prepared for the political contest and would not be intimidated by the APC’s control of the federal government.
He warned that the opposition party was ready to respond to any strategy deployed against it ahead of the election.
“We are ready for anything,” Abdullahi said.
He maintained that the ADC had continued to gain support from Nigerians who were dissatisfied with the current administration.
According to him, the party would focus on presenting an alternative to the ruling APC and mobilising voters across the country.
The ADC has brought together several opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections, with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerging as its presidential candidate.
