2027: US firm to engage Trump over Tinubu
A US firm working with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said it will engage US President Donald Trump next week over issues concerning President Bola Tinubu.
The firm disclosed this in a statement while responding to ongoing political developments ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
It said the planned engagement with the US administration would focus on matters relating to Nigeria and the Tinubu government.
The development comes amid increasing political activity ahead of the 2027 general election, with opposition figures continuing to criticise the administration’s policies and seek international attention on issues affecting Nigeria.
Atiku, who is preparing to contest the 2027 presidential election under the African Democratic Congress, has repeatedly criticised the Tinubu administration over its economic and security policies.
The firm said further details of its planned engagement with the US administration would be made available after the meeting.
