 61st Independence: Police disperse #BuhariMustGo protesters in Abuja

The police in an attempt to disperse protesters who came out on Friday carrying placards which had the inscriptions #BuhariMustGo, fired teargas at them.

The Cable reports that the protesters had just converged at Dantata bridge in Abuja to begin a planned demonstration when Police operatives stormed the area.

They fired tear gas canister and chased them away.

The federal government had said there would be heightened security in the days leading to the country’s 61st independence anniversary.
