Man Utd win at Wolves to secure unbeaten away record

By Joseph Ayinde
Manchester United became only the third team to finish a Premier League season unbeaten away from home with a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Nineteen-year-old forward Anthony Elanga headed United in front from a Daniel James cross on 13 minutes for his first Premier League goal.
Wolves responded well and equalised on 39 minutes through Nelson Semedo’s low finish from Fabio Silva’s pull-back.
United retook the lead before half-time through Juan Mata’s penalty, awarded after Romain Saiss had fouled Donny van de Beek.
Wolves pushed on again in the second half in Nuno Espirito Santo’s final match in charge but could not find a way past Dean Henderson.
The United goalkeeper saved Rayan Ait-Nouri’s curling shot and then denied Morgan Gibbs-White late on.
United finish as runners-up with 74 points. Wolves drop to 13th on 45 points.
