Mob Beats Alleged Kidnapper To Pulp In Lagos

Residents of Ijora area in Lagos State were treated to a spectacle Thursday morning, as a suspected kidnapper was stripped and beaten to stupor by a mob.
The incident had happened around 10.30 am at Abete, Ijora in the Apapa-Iganmu axis of Lagos.
According to reports, the lady had allegedly kidnapped two twin babies, only to be caught in the act later on. Thereafter, a crowd, which had gathered round, set upon her, stripped her of all clothing, and pelted her with stones and pebbles.
Fortunately, operatives from the Nigerian Police Force had stepped in and prevented the mob from inflicting further damage. Reportedly, they took the woman away from the area; but it remains unclear if she died from her injuries or not.
