 Anambra Police nabs One-Chance Robbers

The Police in Anambra State have arrested two notorious Armed Robbers who specialises in robbing people along Ogidi/Nkpor/Tarzan and Umunya axis of the state.

The Police Recovered two firearms, twelve handsets, cash sum of ₦290,000 suspected to have been stolen from different victims at gun points.

According to release by Force PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed, they were nabbed in the early hours of today,

“On the 6/09/2020 at about 4:30am, following credible intelligence report, Police operatives attached to Ogbunike Division smashed a robbery syndicate and arrested the following suspects.

(i). Chukwuemeka Ikechukwu “m’ aged 22 years of Chibest Street,Tarzan and ,

(Ii) Tochukwu Okeke ‘m’ aged 30 years of Nkwelle Ukeh in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

2. Suspects were part of the gang allegedly involved in series of Armed Robbery and handset snatching operating at Ogidi, Nkpor, Tarzan, Umunya, Odomodo, tollgate axis and its environs.

SP Haruna further revealed Exhibits recovered in their possession as:

One automatic pump action with breech no 12776, One English manurhin pistol, One dagger, two hand bags, twelve assorted handsets, one purse containing recharge cards of various denomination, one tricycle Keke with REG. number NSH 299 QH, One locked Safe containing unspecified amount of money and cash sum of Two hundred and ninety Six thousand Naira(#296,000) all reasonably suspected to have been snatched from different Victims.

Adding that, the Case is under investigation after which suspects would be brought to book.
