Andreas Pereira Set To Dump Man United Despite Solskjaer Appeal

By Emmanuel Awosika

Manchester United midfielder, Andreas Pereira, is reportedly eyeing a move away from the club even as the Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pleads with him to stay.

Reports emanating from Portugal suggest the player has decided to exit the club due to lack of playing time.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January has limited Pereira’s role in the Manchester United team, with the Brazilian playing just 62 minutes of football since the restart.

Pereira was also absent from United’s bench for the team’s last three EPL games in the recently concluded season. Likewise, he has been used sparingly in the Europa League, playing just 36 minutes in Man United’s last game at LASK.

Despite his refusal to field Pereira for much of the season, Solskjaer reportedly tried to persuade the Brazilian player to stay at the club.

But it seems Pereira has decided against staying, with agent, Kia Joorabchian, reportedly in talks with clubs from Spain, Germany, and Portugal, for a potential transfer deal.

Some outlets have suggested that Pereira could be open to the possibility of moving to Valencia where he enjoyed a fruitful loan spell in the 2017/2018 season.
