 APC chairman dies in Lagos

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Ganiu Adebisi is dead.

The Odiolowo/Ojuwoye APC boss died early Tuesday, 19 May, 2020 at the age of 73 after a brief illness.
He was buried at his house in Ijoko same day19 May, 2020.

Alhaji Adebisi was a veteran Politician. Before he became the Odi-olowo-Ojuwoye LCDA APC Chairman, he was chairman of the Council’s Community Development Committee (CDC) for many years.

Alhaji Adebisi was a veteran politician who has been in politics since days of the aborted Third Republic when he was a prominent member of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He was also a prominent member of the Primrose group which supported the governorship ambition of Chief Dapo Sarumi.
During the Abacha era, he was a member of the defunct Democratic Party of Nigeria (DPN) and when this present political dispensation started, he was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before joining camp with the Progressives.

The Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Razaq Ajala lamented the demise of the veteran politician. “I’m saddened by his death.
“On a number of occasions over the years and every time I met him, I was always struck by both the force of his personality and the quality of his intellect in driving the affairs of our party.

“His passion shone through in everything he did, from his efforts to steer the affairs of the party and his tireless championing of the Community Development Committee in our local council and the stay in general,” Ajala said.
