 BBNaija 2020:  Housemates Already Quarantined Ahead of July 19

The Season 5 of Nigeria’s favourite reality show, Big Brother Naija will be going live on TV come July 19, 2020.

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, organisers of BBNaija, MultiChoice Nigeria,

have taken some necessary precautions in line with the guidelines set by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for the fifth season of the show.

Aside ensuring the production crew works in socially distanced shifts, MultiChoice is putting the potential BBNaija housemates through a rigorous health screening process.

These potential housemates will, in addition to other medical tests, undergo a COVID-19 test before entering Biggie’s house.

To further ensure the safety of BBNaija housemates, these potential participants are currently in quarantine ahead of the show’s premiere on Sunday, July 19.

In a media briefing ahead of the show, Ebuka also shared his experience from when he auditioned for the Big Brother Nigeria show in 2006.

According to him, he was 23 years old, and it was the most comprehensive health test he had ever done.

MultiChoice Nigeria says that they are committed to keeping all BBNaija season five participants safe and healthy, which is why there will be no live audience at the Sunday Night Eviction Shows.

There will also be no unexpected celebrity visits to the House.

Big Brother Naija, an audience favourite show loved and avidly followed by viewers across Africa as it showcases urban Nigerian culture.
