 Buhari extends lockdown in Lagos, Ogun, FCT for 2 weeks

President Muhammadu Buhari has announced 14 days extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun State and Abuja to combat the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.

The president made the statement during his speech to the nation, on Monday evening.

He appreciated Nigerians’ patience in the last 14 days saying the country was at the verge of winning the fight.

He also appreciated the health workers across the country whom he described as nations heroes.

He said his government will increase the palliative distribution to cushion the effect on the citizenry.

Meanwhile, the president has acknowledged the individuals and corporate bodies that supported fight with donations, saying their encouragement would forever be remembered.
