Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has vowed to defeat rapper Speed Darlington when they meet in the ring on October 1.

Carter made the statement during a press conference ahead of their celebrity boxing bout scheduled to take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

The two entertainers exchanged words during the event as they continued preparations for their first boxing encounter.

Carter said he was confident of beating Speed Darlington and questioned the rapper’s ability to withstand the fight.

The content creator also referred to Speed’s previous bout with singer Portable, which ended with Portable being awarded a technical knockout after Speed failed to return for the second round.

Speed Darlington, however, disputed the description of the defeat as a conventional knockout and maintained that the bout ended on technical grounds.

Carter enters the October 1 contest after defeating Portable by unanimous decision in May during Chaos in the Ring 4.

All three judges scored the three-round bout 30-27 in Carter’s favour.

Speed Darlington had earlier challenged Carter to a boxing match following the latter’s victory over Portable, setting the stage for their upcoming encounter.

The October 1 fight will be the first time Carter and Speed Darlington meet in the boxing ring.

The bout is scheduled to hold at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Nigeria’s Independence Day.
