 Company leads campaign against multiple taxation

The Chief Executive Officer of ATD Global Security Services Ltd, a lead consultant for Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Ambassador Olakunle Johnson, has disclosed that the official flag-off of the National Anti-Multiple Taxation Scheme (NAMTAXS) will hold on November 24, 2021.

Johnson made the disclosure in a chat with newsmen at his office in Lagos on Tuesday.

According to him, the Police College Grounds, Ikeja remain the venue of the launch.

Olakunle stated further that given the commitment of the  Local Organising Committee (LOC) in 154 local governments across Southwest, all is now set for the epoch-making event.

“Our major partner, MIKANO International Limited, will be on ground on November 24 2021, the approved date for NAMTAXS flag-off, so also, major high flyers in the haulage industry like Dangote, BUA,Nestle Nigeria Plc, Coca Cola bottling company and others will be in attendance

“We shall also have represented the following associations whose daily transactions are closely linked to NAMTAXS scope of coverage: National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Importers Association of Nigeria (IMAN), Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria (AREFFN ).

“Others are, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA ), National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Agents(NCMDLCA), National Association of Freight Forwarders and Air Consolidators(NAFFAC), National Association of Truck Owners (NATO) and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

“Aside the dignitaries and headship of security agencies duly invited for the launch, the frontline players in the transportation sector like the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employer Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), will also be on ground,” Olakunle said.
