Covid-19: Abia Governor, Ikpeazu hands over to Deputy after testing positive

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has handed over to the Deputy Governor, Ude Oko Chukwu, after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Chief Press Secretary to the state Government, Onyebuchi Ememanka, said in a statement that the Governor, who earlier tested negative, underwent a second test.
“The Governor, who has already commenced self-isolation under the careful watch of experienced Medical Personnel, directed that the Deputy Governor, Sir Oko Chukwu, shall hold the forte in his absence,” he said.
The Governor is among the 67 who tested positive for COVID-19 in Abia, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
