 Deal decisively with robbers, criminal elements, Lagos CP orders commanders

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu has ordered Commanders of tactical units and police formations in the State to deal decisively with armed robbers and criminal elements threatening the peace of the State.

This is as the police, acting on credible information, foiled an attempted robbery attack in Ikorodu and arrested two suspects.

The CP had directed the deployment of police officers to lay siege on some suspected robbers.

Specifically, the officers arrested one Toheeb Sanusi, 21 years old and Adewale Adeshina, 24 years old, around Benson area of Ikorodu.

Recovered from the suspects were one locally made revolver pistol and one cutlass.

The suspects confessed that they were in the area to rob unsuspecting members of the public.

According to the police, investigation was ongoing, while the suspects would soon be charged to Court.

“The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu psc has given Commanders of tactical units in Lagos State a clear instruction to deal decisively with armed hoodlums daring the collective will of the people to rob in any part of the State during this lockdown,” a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana revealed.
