EndSARS: South West Ministers Demand Probe Of Military Over Lekki Shooting

By Dayo Badmus

Federal Ministers from the South-West have called for thorough investigation of the Nigerian Army over the shooting of peaceful, unarmed EndSARS protesters at Lekki tollgate in Lagos.

The call was contained in a report presented to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday.

Ministers from the South West region were directed to return to their states to quell the unrest that characterised the aftermath of the EndSARS protests.

In the report, the Ministers asked that the role of the military in the incident be thoroughly investigated.

Armed men in military uniform had invaded the protest ground at Lekki tollgate to forcefully disperse protesters.

The incident sparked an outrage within and outside the country, with controversy on whether people were killed or not.
