Controversial songster, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has made a dramatic retraction of his earlier statement that he founded One Million Boys.

The group is notorious cult clan terrorising residents of Lagos and Ogun states.

In a video, which went viral on Monday, Portable was heard saying he formed the gang and another notorious group known as Ajah Boys.

“Open your ears and hear me, Have you heard about Ajah Boys, One Million Boys, I’m their founder. Go and ask Sammy larry,” the singer spoke in Yoruba in the now-deleted video.

In a follow-up video posted on his Instagram page, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner said One Million Boys means that he has a lot of supporters.

“Do you know what One Million Boys means? Fans are called One Million Boys. I cannot fight but I have back up. For instance, a pastor can say he has One Million people behind him, an herbalist has One Million people behind him. I am a child of God; I have plenty of people behind me. If I say One Million Boys, I mean Fans. I am an angel. If you hurt me, I have those that will fight for me.

“I am not a thief. It is not that notorious One Million Boys,” he said in a mixture of Yoruba and pidgin.

Meanwhile, The Inspector-General Of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the probe of the music star over his alleged ties to the notorious gang.

In a statement, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, said the Lagos Commissioner of Police had been asked to investigate Portable.

“Sequel to the trending video of one Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable where he claimed to have formed the One-Million Boys cult group terrorising some parts of Lagos State, the IGP has ordered CP Lagos to investigate the indicting statement and take necessary legal action.

“This directive is premised on the continuous effort of the Nigeria Police Force to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups in order to decimate their activities and restore sanity to our society,” the statement read.

The singer was also ridiculed some hours ago for congratulating the Osun State governorship winner, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after supporting the opposition party.
