 54th Birthday: Pasuma laments lack of new stars in Fuji music

Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has criticised the total lack of new music stars in his genre of music.

The musician is sad that his genre of music has not in recent years, witness a new revelation to swell the ranks of the existing ones .

Fielding questions from newsmen at a Media chat, the popular entertainer emphasised his displeasure over none emergence of new stars within Fuji ranks.

According to him, unlike what was obtainable in the past, no new face has been introduced to the regular Fuji players in recent years.

Blaming music promoters for the sad development, Alabi said ” in my quest to expose and develop new talents, I took it upon myself to always duet unknown Fuji singers the ones you journalists like to call backstreet acts.

”To the glory of God, that was how some of the popular young ones around now got to gain stardom, but I don’t want to begin to mention names to avoid issues.

”I was doing that successfully when marketers insisted the trend must stop, that its hampering their sales. So, I had stop it. But I am using this medium to tell them now that we can’t travel that route anymore.

” I have a number of good Fuji talents with the potential to become the bomb with little exposure and that I am determined to expose the usual way ”

The globally recognised musician said its for this same reason of exposure that he became the first Fuji artiste to make it a matter of policy, to put an unknown Fuji artiste on stage to open shows for him whenever he is performing.

Meanwhile, the superstar has an unpleasant news for his home fans.

Alabi is taking the celebration of his 54th birthday out of the country.

Pasuma’s birthday is due for the last week in November.

Pleading with his home fans to bear with him, the entertainer said ” I want to appeal to my fans in Nigeria that I won’t be marking my birthday in Nigeria this time.

”I have commitments abroad but that should not stop the gifts from coming in, let the gifts come in advance” he said
